*Job Summary*
The Medical Scribe will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely discharge summaries as per doctors’ instructions, coordinating with clinical teams, and ensuring complete and error-free medical documentation. The role plays a critical part in maintaining turnaround time (TAT), patient records, and insurance documentation within the Medical Records Department.
*Roles & Responsibilities*
* Prepare Discharge Summaries accurately as per doctors’ advice
* Coordinate with doctors to finalize discharge summaries on time
* Keep draft discharge summaries prepared in advance for next-day discharges
* Coordinate with Floor Coordinators to prioritize discharges
* Prepare and maintain complete patient files
* Prepare and organize insurance files with required documentatio
* Ensure all Radiology, Cardiology, and investigation reports are included in the MRD file
* Maintain error-free typed medical documents
* Adhere strictly to the Turnaround Time (TAT) for discharge summaries
* Maintain data and records of file TAT and discharge summary TAT
* Ensure compliance with hospital policies and confidentiality standards
*Required Skills & Competencies*
* Good knowledge of medical terminology
* Strong typing and documentation skills
* Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
* Ability to work under time-bound discharge priorities
* Good coordination and communication skills
* Basic knowledge of hospital workflows and MRD processes
* Proficiency in MS Word / Hospital Information Systems (HIS)
*Preferred Candidate Profile*
* Freshers or candidates with up to 2 years of experience in medical scribing / medical records / hospital documentation
* Candidates with exposure to MRD, discharge summaries, or insurance documentation will be an added advantage
