Medical Coders required with any one skill 2 years and above experience - Gastroenterology - General Surgery - Interventional Radiology - Orthopedic - Cardiovascular Surgery • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology • Accounts for coding procedure notes and abstracting codes including and modifier from clinical notes. • Expertise on a wide range of procedures. •Ensure codes are accurate, active, and sequenced correctly in accordance with insurance regulations • Follow up with the provider on any documentation that is insufficient or unclear and communicate with other clinical staff regarding documentation. • Research for information in cases where the coding is complex or unusual • Review the patient’s history for appending global modifiers. •Follow HIPAA guidelines and keep Patients PHI intact.
