Key Purpose of the Job (Position Summary)
Responsible for managing the overall Talent Acquisition budget and ensuring talent acquisition
of suitable resources for positions pan India. Other duties include providing guidance to all the
regions on various resourcing activities and spearheading resourcing initiatives.
Key Accountabilities
•Maintain recruitment cost within budget (E.g. Optimal cost per hire)
•Ensure adherence to Manpower Budget numbers
•To ensure timely recruitment of quality candidates
•Formulation of guidelines/policies in the area of resourcing and monitoring its
implementation
•Liaise with line functions to create manpower budget
Key Functions & Responsibilities
Strategic
• To work with the VP HR and GM HR and estimate the budget for recruitment for
the organization
• To develop an overall manpower plan by working closely with the business heads
and other functional heads to understand their requirements
• To decide the appropriate strategy for sourcing the candidates for the various
positions across India
Operational
Recruitment & Selection
• To hire the right person for a job within the defined timelines and cost parameters
• To ensure sourcing of candidates based on the manpower requirements using
multiple channels of recruitment
• To carry out a first level short-listing of candidates for middle management and
above, through screening of CVs/interviews followed by an interview by the
Functional Head and HR
• To conduct final HR interviews for Manager and below hires at corporate
• To provide support to the regions for middle management and above hires
• To regularly monitor recruitment costs
• To build and strengthen an Employee Referral Program
• To ensure proper induction on new joinees.
Campus Recruitment
• To identify with functional heads the number of GETs / MTs etc to be recruited
for the year
• To identify engineering / MBA / other professional institutes to be targeted by the
company for recruitment
• To formulate the campus recruitment strategy and oversee the implementation of
the same.
Policy administration
• To ensure all doubts pertaining to policy matters pertaining to resourcing (viz.
rehire cases, hiring of spouse, etc.) are cleared
• To monitor and ensure Reference checks, pre-employment medical checks are all
completed prior to hiring
• To drive standardized recruitment policies and processes across all circles and
ensures compliance through audits
Vendors/ Consultants Relationship Management
• To create alliances with reputed vendors for recruitment, background screening
agencies and job portals to procure high quality sourcing capabilities & cost
effective services
• To build and maintaining a strong network in the market and with placement
consultants to ensure timely delivery of relevant profiles
• To create manpower contracts that are standardized and favourable to the
company.
Internal Manpower Requirements
• To working closely with the line managers to understand personnel needs and
provide proactive resourcing solutions
• To work with line functions to create manpower budgets and relevant organization
structures
Others
• To make salary fitments to candidates based on guidelines and defined framework
• To ensure proper database of potential candidates is maintained to act as an
active pipeline of candidates.
• To develop the Employee Value Proposition for Tata Housing
• To review existing policies and processes in the area of Resourcing and bringing
up necessary changes, as appropriate
Developmental
• Keep abreast of developments in the area
• Manage the team effectively by coaching, mentoring, provide periodic feedback
and exposure to enhance learning
Internal & External Interactions
Internal: Amongst individuals within Corporate HR, Amongst individuals in Regional
HR, Senior level Managers in various functions and across all levels/ grades
External: Recruitment Consultants, Placement agencies, Candidates (including
Referred candidates), Colleges/ Institutes
Education & Experience Requirement
• M.B.A with specialization in HR
• At least 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience
• Familiarity with real estate or construction sector desirable
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good networking skills
