n Materials Processing Business Technologist will assist in providing technology evaluation, analyze investment proposals, identify emerging global business opportunities to the Senior Leadership Team of a global precious metals refining and recycling operation. This person will be an integral part of our company team. We are quickly expanding and growing globally and need a dynamic, flexible, and knowledgeable individual who wants to be part of our team while focusing on the work it takes to keep everything on track. Roles and Responsibilities Support strategic investments and help develop business cases in partnership with functional business partners. Challenging business assumptions, developing business cases and guiding capital appropriation requests. Support ad hoc projects, applying financial analysis to provide recommendations for opportunities to create new value for business partners Identify and/or participate in the implementation of operational improvements / standardization of activities Leads Capital request project review to ensure accuracy and drives approval cadence. Maintains and enhances current fixed asset approval forms including discounted cash flow model. Partners on larger scale initiatives (Capacity expansion, Innovation, Productivity) directly with Presidents to own financial budgeting and implementation. Utilize data, analytics & insights to determine reasonableness of business model assumptions, project risks and opportunities, and probability for return on capital investment. Gathers, analyzes, prepares, and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements and operating forecasts. Performs economic research and studies in the areas of return depreciations, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of governmental requirements. Responsible for reporting or analysis activities that pertain to understanding the impact of financial performance, strategic initiatives, concentrations and other relevant risk exposures on the enterprises overall capital position and risk framework. Performs other duties as assigned. Desired Candidate Profile Strategic, analytical, and structured thinker that possesses a keen attention to detail and can articulate complex situations in a simple way Knowledge and experience with financial modeling. Proficiency in the English language with good communication and writing skills Must be comfortable working with senior leaders.
