LOCATION - Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore SHIFT - 11am - 8pm/ 12pm - 9pm This position is for a journeyman level software developer with a solid professional background or other demonstrable experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) services such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Kinesis, CloudFormation, S3, and other similar serverless technologies. The purpose of this role within the AWS Team is primarily to support the creation of adjunct AWS based services and solutions which support the overall Amazon Connect solution. Whether this be through the creation of APIs which power our bespoke front-end applications and features, IVR ‘micro-applications’ or full-blown integrations with third party systems such as CRMs and sales tools to create self-service customer journeys or creating internal deployment tools should as CI/CD or resource deployment pipelines through services the holder of this position will always have something to do and be working with a variety and range of AWS services. Duties and Responsibilities: The holder of this position will on a daily basis be expected to perform and take responsibility for the following tasks: Attending and participating in regular Scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-ups and fortnightly Sprint review, retrospective, and planning sessions. Providing written impact assessments in response to change requests. Turning written and verbal requirements into actionable written deliverables with associated estimates of effort. Taking ownership and accountability for work items from assignment through to development and delivery. Troubleshooting of faults with and general maintenance of existing solutions (inclusion in on-call rota is not a current expectation but may be in the future). Writing well structured, efficient, and maintainable Python code. Providing tutoring and critique and receiving and accepting critique from team members. Working with team members with a variety of disciplines to deliver full-stack solutions throughout all stages of a products lifecycle. Working with stakeholders throughout the business (product owners, project managers, operational staff) to define requirements and deliver solutions. Summary: An associate / journeyman level software developer with a background in Amazon Web Services (AWS) services such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Kinesis, and CloudFormation, etc. What the successful candidate will be doing: As a member of the ‘AWS Team’ in Company Experience the successful candidate will be working in a multidisciplinary team of 8 individuals, whose focus is on supporting several Amazon Connect-based contact centre implementations through the development of software solutions which are deployed in AWS and utilise AWS technologies. On a day-to-day basis the things that the candidate will be doing could include: Creating API-based integrations between Amazon Connect IVRs and third-party applications and back-end systems. Designing and developing bespoke APIs that power front-end applications. Designing and creating CI/CD pipelines. Designing and creating AWS-native IVR applications. Our team works in an Agile fashion and is primarily responsible for supporting contact centre operations teams through the completion of projects, changes, and business as usual support. This means that the candidate will be regularly: Attending daily stand-ups, reporting to a scrum master, and working in Jira to track and administrate work items. Liaising with project teams and other stakeholders outside of the immediate Scrum team (project managers and other technical teams within Company, as well as similar individuals from our clients) to develop and implement technical solutions that meet business needs. Creating technical documentation about the solutions which are created. Being on-hand to provide support to incident and service management resolution teams. Required experience: Must have minimum three years’ experience working in and around programming, and minimum 1 year working with AWS services as the primary focus of previous employments. Our technology stack includes: Python, AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway, AWS CloudFormation, Amazon Connect. A successful candidate will have experience in developing with Python and AWS Services on a daily basis, a good knowledge of software design and development fundamentals, and experience working in Agile teams.
