Description

We are looking for someone to take on data annotation and validation tasks to support our team. As a Data Annotation Specialist, you will use a variety of internal specialized software programs to mark objects, activities, events, or other items of interest in images, video, or text files. Annotated data is the key ingredient in machine learning algorithms. The ideal candidate will have great attention to detail. Duties also require providing feedback for improvements on tools and processes, and on occasion, helping our field teams with questions. Role: 1. Annotate and label images, videos, text, or data via computer using various internal software programs. 2. Tackle incoming tasks within a short timeframe. 3. Attach metadata (comments, markups, etc.) to image, video, audio, and text data in accordance with established procedures and precise instructions. 4. Provide constructive feedback to our engineers on tooling and processes for more efficient labeling, and to improve data quality. 5. Maintain ownership of each annotation assignment, and respond to any changes in procedure and auditors. 6. Evaluate metrics to help improve our productivity. Collaborate with other annotation specialists and help out with questions. Skills: 1. Responsible and self-motivated to work independently. 2. Understanding to learn new assignments immediately. 3. Meticulous and detail-oriented. 4. Able to type at least 50 WPM. 5. Able to maintain sharp focus, even with repetitive tasks. 6. Willing to support several projects at one time, and to accept reprioritization as required. 7. Experience of similar activities would be an added advantage.
