We are looking for a data scientist who specializes in data analytics and automation, with a strong proficiency in Python to support the Supply Chain Excellence team The ideal candidate will have a passion for using data to drive automation solutions, enabling our organization to make informed decisions and streamline processes In your new role you will: Automation: Create automated data pipelines and workflows using Python scripting to streamline data processing and analysis tasks Statistical Analysis: Apply statistical methods and hypothesis testing to make data-driven decisions and draw meaningful conclusions ETL Pipeline Design: Design and develop ETL pipelines that automate the data transformation and loading processes, ensuring repeatability and scalability Creation of Technical documentation: Create technical documentation for the code\/solutions developed Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, domain experts and business analysts across Germany and Austria to address data-related challenges and develop data-driven solutions Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science and machine learning You are best equipped for this task if you have: An Engineering or Math / Science graduate with 1-3 years of experience in data analytics or data science. Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python for data manipulation, analysis, and modelling Very good understanding of Statistics and its applications ETL operations using SQL is a must, as well as previous exposure to Big data environment (Hadoop) and data virtualization tools (Denodo) Customer oriented mindset and the ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries and cultures Preferable: Supply chain knowledge Prior experience with data visualization tools (such as Tableau) Solid understanding of machine learning techniques, including classification, regression, clustering, and deep learning
