This role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand data, creating data models, and building interactive reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making. Role & responsibilities 1. Data Modeling: Design and develop data models in Power BI to support efficient data analysis and visualization. 2. Report and Dashboard Development: Create visually compelling and interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI to present data insights to business users. 3. Data Integration: Connect Power BI to various data sources, including databases, cloud services, and external APIs, to consolidate and transform data for analysis. 4. Data Transformation: Clean, transform, and preprocess data as needed to ensure data accuracy and usability in Power BI. 5. Performance Optimization: Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for performance, ensuring they load quickly and provide a seamless user experience. 6. Security Implementation: Implement security measures to restrict access to sensitive data and ensure data privacy compliance. 7. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, business analysts, and IT teams, to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs. 8. Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for Power BI solutions, including data source documentation, report documentation, and user guides. Preferred candidate profile Skills & Qualifications: 1. Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is typically required. 2. Power BI Proficiency: Strong expertise in Microsoft Power BI, including data modeling, DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), and Power Query. 3. Data Skills: Proficiency in data manipulation, cleansing, and transformation techniques. Knowledge of SQL is often required. 4. Visualization Skills: Ability to create visually appealing and effective data visualizations and dashboards. 5. Communication: Strong communication skills to work with non-technical stakeholders, gather requirements, and explain data insights. 6. Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to turn data into actionable insights. 7. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing business needs. 8.
