Responsibilities: Reviews the documentation in patient's medical records and translates the same into universally accepted, industry standard medical codes Perform Coding for anesthesia records with a minimum of 98% accuracy and as per turnaround time requirements Exceeds the productivity standards for Medical Coding - as per the productivity norms for anesthesia coding standards Focuses on updating coding skills, knowledge, and accuracy by participating in coding team meetings and educational conference To code charts based on standard coding tools (AAPC coding manuals & Super coder).Understand basic coding guidelines and ability to interpret Super bills & Medical records for ICD-10-CM, CPT & HCPCS Responsible for complying with all QMS and ISMS Policies and procedures.Adherence to HIPAA guidelines Must be able to recognize key details in a patient record in order to apply the appropriate codes. . Desired Skills: Graduates in life sciences with 2- 4 years of experience in Medical Coding Experience in specialties such as Anesthesia and others Exposure to CPT-4, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding CPC either CANPC certification from AAPC /AHIMA is Mandatory. Good knowledge of medical coding and billing systems, regulatory requirements, auditing concepts, and principles.
