Official name of the designation: General Manager, Medical Coding Division 2. Reporting location: Bengaluru 3. Work location: Work from office 4. Qualifications and skillsets needed: a. A minimum of 10 years of managing BPO operations (US healthcare), out of which at least 5 years should be in managing US medical coding operations. b. Prior experience in managing operations of at least a 100-people medical coding company. c. Should have experience in the following areas of medical coding => operations, quality, compliance, training, client interaction, and audits. d. Should have certifications from AHIMA and/or AAPC e. Hands-on experience in medical coding is required. f. Multi-specialty E&M, ED, & HCC coding experience required. Experience in a specific healthcare specialty is highly desirable, including areas like inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory, infusion, surgery, or specialty-specific coding. g. Ability to prepare provider feedback reports is expected. h. Prior experience interacting with US clients directly is a must. i. Proficiency in software platforms or tools, including but not limited to various Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and medical coding software such as 3M, Optum, or Codify. j. Knowledge of medical billing and ancillary support services is an added advantage. k. Excellent written and spoken English communication is a must. l. Exceptional soft skills, including strong organizational abilities, the capacity to work under pressure, and excellent interpersonal skills. m. Experience in managing remote teams is preferred. n. Having prior experience in providing feedback on coding deficiencies to US providers through ZOOM/Phone and electronic media is mandatory." o. Collation of operational data using PowerPoint and Excel is essential." 7. Tasks and Responsibilities: a. Complete production planning and monitoring of the medical coding process. b. Responsible for overall quality of service delivered. c. Manage client deliverables and escalation. d. Schedule and participate in calls directly with US client to discuss about QA reports, provider feedback reports, and day-to-day operational issues. e. Work closely with the US sales force on ROI presentation, bringing new clients, and successful implementation. f. Need to transit, stabilize, and standardize new projects/clients. g. Involve in process designing, product development, and enhancement of in-house coding platform with software team. h. Performance and feedback management for medical coders. i. Coding workflow and data management. j. Give inputs to prepare and submit invoices to US office. Work with clients on discrepancies and dues. k. Experience in medical coding training is preferred. l. Involved in hiring process of resources for the medical coding division. m. Ability to analyze and find solutions for problems at work. n. Willingness to function as an individual contributor. o. Publish a daily Executive summary of projects on a daily basis. p. Perform any other task(s) assigned by the Reporting Manager. 9. Compensation offered: Depending on experience, negotiable. 10.
