We have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Legal Manager for the Vehicle Finance Segment. Positions: Regional Legal Manager Job Location: Ranchi (Jharkhand) Qualification: LLB / LLM CTC Range: INR up to 12 LPA (Negotiable) Need Skills: LLB with a minimum of 10-12 years of experience in litigation and legal collection in BFSI & similar Industries in commercial arbitration shall be an added advantage. Excellent working knowledge of 138 NI Act, Sec 25 Settlement Act, Arbitration, conciliation, Lok Adalat, CPC, Cr PC, IPC, etc. Excellent knowledge of local jurisdiction and good connections with authorities. Excellent drafting skills for complaints, FIR, written submissions, applications, petitions, legal notices, etc. Procedural and working knowledge of courts, appellate forums, judicial framework, arbitrary tribunals, Lok Adalat, etc. The ability to perform tasks proactively, thoroughly, orderly, and independently Excellent command of the Hindi and English languages, both written and spoken Job Description or Role and Responsibilities: Manage the portfolio of debt collection from a legal perspective for assigned geography. Follow up with delinquent cases personally, along with the collection manager, along the collection team in support of local police Support in recovery on high-value NPA-write-off cases. Also, support the collection team to collect and resolve the current bounce, 1-30, 31-60 amp; 61-90 cases. Must focus on collecting late payments and other charges Responsible for setting the target of field legal work for collection making sure that the weekly/ monthly target for self and the team is achieved on time Ensure the settlement process gets followed up as per the laid down process. Guide, train, strategic, and roll out approved SOP to the law firms/advocate in person or by conference calls to ensure the entire information of management reaches the entire team. Implementing legal collection strategies at the regional & area level for efficient collections and recovery of outstanding loans. Controlling the cost of legal collection as per organizational thought and industry standards. Prepare writs, defenses, submissions, and other pleadings in cases filed against the Company in consumer forums and commissions. Prepare, file, and plead cases in Commercial Court in pursuit of amounts owed to the Company. Ensure Sec 138 of the NI Act, Sec 25 of the Settlement Act, Arbitration, and Summary suit get filed as per laid down the timeline.
