Innovate to solve the worlds most important challengesAs a Mech Design Engr II, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise on a variety of projects and programs in Materials Engineering team of global production and engineering services In the materials engineering team, you will use your expertise of engineering discipline and standards, processes, and tools to support Integrated computational materials engineering (ICME) efforts for development of multi-scale multiphysics simulations to arrive at composition process structure property performance relations Key Responsibilities: As a Mech Design Engr II, you will be involved in ICME efforts. Your primary responsibilities will include but not limited to: Use CALPAHD tools like JMAT PRO/Thermo-Calc for phase and thermo-mechanical property estimation. Use of CFD tools such as OpenFOAM for thermal simulations Use of phase-field and Monte-Carlo tools for porosity and grain structure simulations. Use of CP-FEM tools for property/performance predictions. Use of DFT/MD tools for physical, mechanical, electrical, and thermal property predictions. Use of ICME tools to develop digital twins of various processes. You Must Have: A Ph.D./Master s degree in mechanical engineering, material science or related discipline or a bachelor s degree in engineering with 0-4 years of experience in the relevant field. Knowledge of grain and microstructure simulations using phase-field and MonteCarlo simulations. Strong background in one or more ICME tools Good verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in programming using C/C++/python. We Value Knowledge in metal additive manufacturing. Knowledge in AI/ML models and algorithms. Ability to work independently and willingness to learn new technologies Additional Information
