Description

Manage end-to-end payroll processing for employees, including but not limited to: Collecting and verifying timesheet data Calculating wages, bonuses, and deductions Processing payroll adjustments and corrections Generating and distributing paychecks or direct deposits Stay updated on federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance in payroll processing. Prepare and submit payroll tax filings, including payroll taxes, social security, and other statutory deductions, in accordance with relevant regulations and deadlines. Address payroll-related inquiries and concerns from employees in a timely and professional manner. Collaborate with the HR team to ensure accurate employee records, including changes in salary, benefits, and employment status, are reflected in the payroll system. Assist in the development and implementation of payroll policies, procedures, and best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy. Generate reports and analyze payroll data to identify trends, discrepancies, or potential issues, and make recommendations for improvement. Work closely with the finance department to reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies. Maintain confidentiality of payroll information and ensure security measures are in place to protect sensitive data. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Proven experience as a payroll specialist or similar role, with a strong understanding of payroll processing principles and practices. In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws, regulations, and compliance requirements pertaining to payroll. Proficiency in payroll software and systems. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
