Description
As an SAP S4 HANA Basis Consultant, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in the implementation and support of SAP S4 HANA Public Cloud solutions for mid-market clients. Operating within a US shift while based in India, you will ensure the stability, performance, and security of SAP environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Duties/Responsibilities:
SAP S4 HANA Implementation: Lead and contribute to the technical aspects of SAP S4 HANA Public Cloud implementations, including installation, configuration, and customization to meet client requirements.
Basis Administration: Perform system monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and availability of SAP landscapes. This includes managing system transports, applying patches, and implementing upgrades.
Security Management: Implement and maintain security policies, roles, and authorizations within SAP systems to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Technical Support: Provide expert-level support for incidents, problems, and service requests related to SAP Basis and infrastructure components. Collaborate with global teams to resolve issues promptly and minimize downtime.
Performance Optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize SAP system performance through monitoring, analysis, and implementation of best practices. Proactively address performance bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
Documentation and Training: Create and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Conduct training sessions for end-users and support teams to enhance their understanding of SAP technologies.
Change Management: Coordinate and execute changes in SAP landscapes following established change management processes. Ensure changes are implemented smoothly with minimal impact on operations.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging SAP technologies, tools, and best practices. Proactively propose and implement enhancements to existing systems and processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
Required Skills/Abilities:
SAP S4 HANA Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience with SAP S4 HANA Public Cloud implementations, including system architecture, configuration, and administration.
SAP Basis Administration: Proficiency in SAP Basis administration tasks such as system monitoring, performance tuning, transport management, and user management.
Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of SAP technologies, including SAP NetWeaver, SAP Fiori, SAP HANA database, and SAP Solution Manager. Experience with SAP Cloud Platform is a plus.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyse complex technical issues, troubleshoot problems, and develop effective solutions in a timely manner.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Fluency in English is required.
Team Collaboration: Proven experience working collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment, both locally and globally.

Certifications: SAP certifications in relevant areas such as SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP S/4HANA, SAP Certified Development Associate - SAP Fiori Application Developer, or similar certifications are highly desirable.
