The successful candidate will lead and contribute to the provision of nuclear medicine services, including diagnostic imaging and therapeutic procedures

Responsibilities:
Diagnostic Imaging:Perform and interpret a variety of nuclear medicine imaging studies, including positron emission tomography (PET), single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT), and hybrid imaging techniques
Collaborate with radiologists and other specialists to integrate nuclear medicine findings into comprehensive patient assessments
Therapeutic Procedures:Administer therapeutic doses of radiopharmaceuticals for the treatment of various medical conditions, such as thyroid disorders, cancer, and bone pain
Monitor patients during and after therapeutic procedures to ensure safety and effectiveness
Patient Consultation:Consult with patients to explain nuclear medicine procedures, potential risks, and benefits
Address patient concerns and provide support to enhance their understanding of the diagnostic or therapeutic process
Interdisciplinary Collaboration:Collaborate with oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement integrated treatment plans
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases
Quality Assurance:Implement and oversee quality assurance programs for nuclear medicine services
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards
Research and Education:Engage in research activities to contribute to advancements in nuclear medicine
Provide education and training to medical staff, residents, and fellows
Continuous Professional Development:Stay updated on the latest developments in nuclear medicine through ongoing education and training
Mentor and guide junior medical staff in the field
