Job Description Position: DevOps Engineer Hours of Work: Monday through Friday: 8:30AM-5:00PM Full-time, Exempt To the extent permitted by law, the Company may, in its sole discretion, change the work schedule to address business needs. Work hours will depend on the business hours of the time zone serviced. In This Role, You Will… Be responsible for the cloud network architecture design and implementation as well as remediating findings from cloud network security, vulnerability scanning and penetration testing. You will work closely and collaborate frequently with distributed cross-functional teams while optimizing our platforms and tooling for speed, usability and reliability to meet the current and future needs of our customers and the business. Responsibilities and Essential Duties: Assist with ensuring the platform is PCI, OWASP, and ISO 27001 compliant. Assist with WAF/reverse proxy (NGINX) configuration and maintenance. Administer and maintain the Linux environment. Utilize Terraform IaC to provision machines. Work closely with development teams to deliver solutions that are reliable, flexible, scalable, and provide low-cost ownership. Own and be responsible for one or more pieces of our CI/CD pipeline(s). Author, update, and review technical documentation related to processes and specifications. Maintain and administer WordPress. May perform additional functions depending on market demand and staffing in order to provide consistent quality customer service. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study (i.e. Computer Science or Engineering). Relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in DevOps or relevant experience in IT and SysOps. Minimum of two (2) years of production experience configuring and implementing AWS network resources & strategies. Possess some experience with EKS, ECR, and IAM. Minimum of two (2) years direct experience building and maintaining CI/CD tooling, Jenkins pipelines & GitHub. Direct experience in creating and extending Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Delivery (CD) environments via Terraform or CloudFormation as well as container experience. Minimum of three (3) years of demonstrable experience with a scripting or Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) language & bash or Python scripting. Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a distributed version control environment (Git / Subversion (SVN)) with demonstrable experience using branch management and rollback strategies. Experience using Golang to develop back-end components to build optimized, scalable and modular software for cloud and networking services. Experience with network security protocols and WAF technologies. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with vendors, service dealers, customers, and all levels of company staff. Self-motivated to learn and asks the right questions to ensure goal achievement is met. Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; ability to multitask, change direction, effectively prioritize, and meet deadlines with limited direction from management. Ability to pay close attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and possess strong and effective organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications: AWS Solution Architect or Practitioner Experience with Docker Experience as SQL/NoSQL admin Experience with WordPress administration
