This role is working for the largest education district in Texas and the eighth-largest in the United States.
The position Installs, configures, monitors, troubleshoots, upgrades and documents the SAP technical environment and their underlying Databases. Manages all existing SAP products and solutions currently installed at Client. Responsible for performance tuning, security, the transport system and the migration of SAP database and application configuration into production. Ensures system health, enforces security policies and executes the disaster recovery plan. Manages systems and projects to ensure the short and long-term integrity of the SAP landscape.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Deployment, configuration and ongoing maintenance of multiple SAP Products – ERP, SuccessFactors, SRM, OpenText, BW, PI/PO, EP, GRC, MDM, Gateway, BOBJ/Lumira, TaxFactory, Solution Manager, TDMS other SAP components.
2. Install, Configure, Upgrade, Troubleshoot and provide ongoing support for all SAP MSSQL Databases and Log Shipping / Always On.
3. Installs, configures, upgrades and troubleshoots SAP ABAP and Java stack.
4. Experience applying support packs, enhancement packs, and add-ins.
5. Maintain all SAP GUI and Web Access, load balanced entry points, SAML/SAP Logon Ticket/IDM Single-Sign-On and Server/SSL certificates.
6. Evaluate, download and apply latest Enhancement/support pack stacks to all mentioned SAP Products.
7. Provide Support with a strong knowledge of SAP, MSSQL, Windows and VMWARE infrastructure dependencies.
8. Provide operational support for OpenText components, ICC, Archive Server, VIM, etc.
9. Proactively identify and resolve issues and maintain high uptime of all mentioned SAP Products.
10. Provide PI/PO interfaces support for SAP messaging, automate monitoring of interfaces, implement PI/PO housekeeping activities, secure interfaces, etc.
11. Authoring power shell scripts and modifying / revising existing scripts as need arises.
12. Provide operational support for TDMS application to scramble and copy production data to non-productive environments.
13. Performs system refreshes using database copy and snapshot methods for all mentioned SAP Products.
14. Configures and maintains SAP Solution Manager for technical monitoring systems and processes in order to alert on resource availability, system utilization, and errors to the global SAP infrastructure.
15. Assists the BW/BOBJ/Lumira team with application and data load related issues.
16. Provide operations support for SAP systems and technical infrastructure, including but not limited to transport administration, printer administration, user accounts and authorizations.
17. Maintain strong and effective working relationships with SAP Applications owners, IT Infrastructure and OS/Network Teams.
18. Tests executes the disaster recovery plan.
19. Schedules backups, ensures the health of the backup system and restores backups.
20. Provide day to day Issue, troubleshoot and resolve system availability and performance issues.
21. Proactively monitor system health and take corrective action before problems occur.
22. Perform system tuning of all mentioned Products for optimal performance.
23. Develop, document, and adhere to standard procedures and best practices.
24. Ensure requirements are being met in accordance with client and Government compliance.
25. Ensure proper communication and working relationship with all levels of the organization.
26. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
