Description The Data Scientist - Lead Business Intelligence Analyst position provides a key role within the Data Science department by working with the sales, product line management, and senior management teams on analytical initiatives to generate market opportunities leading to higher CME Group revenue and volume. Responsibilities include providing and maintaining customer 360 analytics for clients trading futures & options, cash markets, data services, and colocation services. The position will manage and lead projects to produce analytics, visuals, and market opportunities using business intelligence and lead generation tools. In addition, this role will communicate analytics, promote business intelligence (BI) tools and acquire feedback on additional analysis. The position will assist with transitioning the Business Analytics team's current portfolio of performance reports to the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to generate more insightful analytics and revenue opportunities. Principal Accountabilities: - Utilize Client 360 data and BI tools to generate new sources of revenue and sales opportunities. Utilize GCP tools to improve the team's reporting and data analytics by providing more insights and enhanced visualizations. - Support the Client Development & Research (CD&R) division's Sales campaign efforts by creating client target lists and tracking reports to measure campaign effectiveness. Assist with identifying analytical needs, design scalable solutions, and lead work streams to deliver on campaign objectives. - Support the Business Analytics team's monthly and quarterly reporting responsibilities by maintaining and enhancing current dashboards that provide analytics and visuals at the customer segment, product line, and regional level. - Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Investor Relations, and Corporate Communications to provide timely and insightful analytics for monthly and quarterly reporting. This position will perform a key role in transitioning current reports to GCP and Looker to improve analytics and insights. - Assist departments within and outside of the CD&R division with the transition of current BI tools (e.g. QlikView) and reporting to GCP and Looker. Skills and Software Requirements: - Three to Five years of experience in Data Analytics with the following skill set: - SQL experience at the intermediate to advanced level - Python experience at the intermediate to advanced level - Tableau Dashboard development - intermediate to advanced - Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) - Machine Learning experience would be a plus - GCP and Looker experience would be a plus - Crucial to success is experience in utilizing Business Intelligence systems to produce quantitative analysis under time constraints, strong communication skills in presenting results and recommendations, and the ability to lead with conviction. - Ability to present and communicate data analytics and ideas clearly in meetings across divisions is critical.
