Responsible for Product Management related activities
Key Result Areas:
1. To lead the growth in products, own the growth of the P & L for the products:
a) Independent management of the entire value chain of the product
b) Understand the nuances of the product price volatility, growing patters, historical trends, etc.
c) Understand why the market is moving in a particular direction w.r.t. the product and disseminate information to members
d) Research extensively from primary and secondary sources about the product being handled in order to be able to provide real time and useful information to members
2. Reporting & Market Activities:
a) Create daily reports on product activity and market feedback
b) Develop marketing and communication material for the product
c) Contracts to be launched as per the launch calendar
d) Make relevant changes in contracts based on market information
e) Visit the market to identify new products with potential to contribute to revenues
3. Market Research & Relationship:
a) Assess suitability and technical feasibility of new products / commodities
b) Maintain and manage relationships with existing members and ensure that they are active on the exchange and well supported
c) Interact with members in order to answer queries products/contracts and resolve member / client complaints and issues
d) Organization of periodic commodity specific value chain participants meet to gauge the feedback for existing contracts and ensuring strong linkages with them
e) Meet with clients, value chain partners, members to update and exchange information on the products and also to encourage participation.
4. Awareness Programs:
a) Increase awareness amongst all members, value chain partners and clients in order to increase liquidity of contracts
b) Identify and develop new relationships with members and clients
c) Conduct Joint Awareness programs to ensure that the members and clients understand more about the exchange function, benefits or commodities trading etc.
d) Internal & external coordination for ensuring timely approvals from regulator
e) Updating knowledge on exchange operations through interaction with other groups
5. New Members and Client Activities:
a) Growing the business by adding new members and encouraging participation
b) Adding new products and contract
c) Build and manage relationships with members and clients and to resolve member and client issues
d) Handle quality disputes
e) Internal & external coordination for ensuring timely approvals from regulator
f) Internal coordination to get members problems resolved
6. Product data and participant activities:
a) Updating knowledge on exchange operations through interaction with other groups
b) Conducting Product advisory committee (PAC) meetings on a timely basis
c) Preparing and updating the yearly data such as "Product profile" and updating on the exchange
website on a timely basis
d) Maintaining sufficient participants in spot polling list
7.Website related activities:
a) Removing redundant information/ Updating new information such as contract specs, P.Ns, product info, brochures etc. under product page on website on a timely manner
b) Reply to queries from the regulator on timely basis
c) Updating product circulars on the website on time
