Hiring with a leading life insurance for Medical Underwriter. Location- Mumbai ( western line ) Experience- 1-2 Yrs plus in medical underwriting , insurance underwriting or life insurance underwriting Education Qualification : Any Graduate , B.pharma and M pharma Roles & Responsibilities: Analysis of the medical and personal information provided in the proposal form about the insurance applicants. Analysis of information provided in tele underwriting scripts as well as Medical examination and investigation reports. Assessing overall risk associated with insuring individuals proposed under a proposal form after reviewing technical/personal, medical and financial information provided in the proposal form, past medical records, declaration, other documents, pre policy medical checkup reports, tele underwriting scripts etc. and taking decision on acceptance or rejection as per risk assessment criteria Deciding whether or not to offer insurance to the proposed to be insured, and also on the terms and conditions with which an individual can be accepted i.e. with additional premiums, waiting periods, exclusions, deductibles or any other sub-standard terms as defined by the underwriting guidelines. Decision on acceptance with revised terms and conditions will need to be processed in system and will be required to be done in new business, renewal or endorsement proposals within the purview of the underwriting guidelines. Any analysis, review or quality assessment as required by the senior underwriter or underwriting team lead Any analysis or assessment need to be carried out as per defined TAT.
