Description
The Quote Representative is responsible for customer quote activities through multiple channels and customer internal formats (e.g. excel, PDF). This position will prepare quote packages for customer, including package types, price guidance and other customer specifications. The Sr Quote Representative will be responsible for answering all customers questions pertaining to the Request for Quote (RFQ) and for following up with internal partners to ensure delivery due dates and customer requirements are met.
In addition, the Sr Quote Representative will take on mentorship responsibilities of their team members (typically Quote Representatives) in helping to groom and grow the talent within the Quoting organization in becoming more proficient in the work they perform. Candidates will also have opportunities to identify and participate in process and quality improvement efforts, working closely with their Team members and their Technology partners in introducing opportunities for building new ways to capture and collate data points, reduce manual data entry, introduce quality checks, etc. Where opportunities are adopted, the Sr. Quote Representative will be involved in defining the requirements to support the improvement, participate in the testing of the solutions (process and/or technology) in ensuring the objectives of the improvements are achieved and ready for adoption. The Sr. Quote Representative will also lead the training of their team members on the use of the solutions introduced in ensuring organizational adoption.

Responsibilities:
Creates & delivers accurate and timely quotations for customers, ensuring that all information is complete.
Provides exceptional customer service and responds promptly to customer inquiries and concerns.
Time management and organizational skills to efficiently complete quotes within identified KPI metrics through multiple workflow channels in a timely and accurate manner. The ability to prioritize tasks and self-manage daily workloads is a critical part of this role.
Handles incoming customer requests to provide quote information, pricing information and other data as requested by the customer and within company standards.
Work with Pricing team for executing a competitive quote when appropriate.
Establishes and maintains collaborative and effective business relationships with other internal teams and stakeholders as well as customers and suppliers.
Leads process improvement initiatives (defining the problem, measuring the opportunity, setting the goals or desired outcomes, finding creative means by which to improve the activity, and measuring the outcomes) in assuring operational effectiveness and improving quality against defined, objective measures.
Contributes to the development of new processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Proficient in the Microsoft suite of products (e.g. word, excel, outlook).
Partners with the Technology organization in the introduction of automation, participating in process flow definition, requirements definition, design reviews, testing and training in achieving an agreed upon outcome.
Prior to processing & submitting quote complete a review of contractual terms and conditions when applicable. Escalate with company as needed to ensure compliance. (e.g. FARS, DFARS, Formalized Bid, Online, Assigned) may need to negotiate new terms internally and externally with the customer or educated partners on meaning and impact of terms.
Work with Trade Compliance team during quote process to ensure adhering to local, state, country laws.
Has a desire to have strong analytical and part number identification skills.
Understand digital quoting platforms with the ability to navigate to other products within the site to include events, tools, training and development, technical publications, etc.
Know and understand Ecoms categories of business and the types of customers served.
Participates in staff meetings and attends other meetings as required, including User Acceptance Testing as needed.
Ability to understand functionality, purpose, inputs & outputs of macros as well as use any internal quote specific tools and systems.
Ideal candidate must be self-motivated and be comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base and processes.
Represents the company in a professional manner and adheres to a high standard of quality, both in communication and accuracy of quote processing.
Other duties as assigned including but not limited to possible reallocation of efforts to other organizations per business need and management request.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in business, marketing, or other related fields
3+ years of experience in Customer facing business operations (industry experience in quote management, sales support, marketing, pricing, customer service or other relevant work experience).
Experience coaching and mentoring others.
Developing business acumen; networks well internally and externally.
Solid interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate in a professional manner with team members.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to think and act tactically to deliver business / process improvements.
Proficient PC experience in a Microsoft Windows environment, Internet, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other software.
Ability to communicate (written and verbal) fluently in English.
Preferred Qualifications
Interest and experience in process redesign applying Lean Six Sigma philosophies (preferred) and prior engagement in IT projects (preferred)
Experience with the electronic component distribution industry
Advanced knowledge of excel spreadsheet formatting and editing.
