Senior Cybersecurity Engineer
This is a tremendous opportunity for a Cybersecurity Engineer to join a growing company where you can take your career to the next level
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• You will own and be the primary point of contact for all of our security-related functions.
• Partner with Security Consulting firms and MSPs on projects.
• Plan, implement and maintain system and network infrastructure.
• Manage all security infrastructure, configuring security services on-prem and in the Azure cloud environment, and serve as a critical part of Cloud migration.
• Research and develop mitigation strategies to address the evolution of security trends and threat landscapes.
• Design, install, and configure internal and external facing systems, network devices and firewalls.
• Serve as an escalation point to other IT staff members.
• Evaluate, identify gaps, and recommend system and network improvements and upgrades.
• Create technical support documentation for systems, networks, and applications.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other security-related standards.
• Constantly monitoring for attacks and intrusions & closing off vulnerabilities.
• Develop, document, communicate, and enforce a network technology policy.
• Manage security-related vendors, including 24/7 Security Operations Center.
• Provide full desktop, user support, and training as needed.
• Plan and execute company-wide security training and coach and mentor junior associates.
This opportunity is a direct-hire or contract-to-hire position in the Cumberland/Battery area. We offer flex hours and up to three days of telecommuting weekly after on boarding and training (2 to 3 weeks). There could be limited travel up to 5% of the time for meetings and implementations. This position is an exciting opportunity to make an impact on a variety of projects.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• 3+ years as a Cybersecurity Engineer
• 5+ years of experience in systems and network administration, including evaluating, testing, and onboarding software systems
• Hands-on experience with networking administration,
• Firewalls, switches, IPS, and IDS systems. Configuring ACLs access control lists, and VLAN segmentation.
• Cloud experience (prefer Azure)
• Firewalls (prefer Fortinet)
• SIEM (prefer LogRhythm)
• DLP tools (prefer Varonis)
• Email security (prefer Proofpoint)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
PREFERRED SKILLS:
• Security Certification (CISSP, etc.)
• Azure Cloud environments security for Azure Virtual Desktop (WVD) and on-premises systems
• Fortinet firewalls
• Varonis
• Proofpoint
• LogRhythm
• Healthcare, HIT, and HIPAA
