Job Summary (This job's purpose and primary focus.) This individual contributor is primarily responsible for translating business requirements and functional specifications into Robotic Process Automation (RPA_ software solutions, for developing, configuring or modifying integrated business and/or enterprise application solutions, and for facilitating the implementation and maintenance of RPA software solutions. The RPA Developer is responsible for the design, development, delivery and stabilization of new automation solutions and RPA bots. The role will drive implementation of new Bot and automation solutions according to necessary implementation timelines and will also be responsible for the creation and maintenance of development best practices leveraging RPA industry best practices. Essential Responsibilities (The primary job duties this position is responsible for achieving are listed in order of importance.) Identify, quantify, qualify, socialize and support implementation of Automation opportunities. Support the RPA team in the implementation of best practices for RPA development, technical design and development of process automations, monitoring and support of operational robots, to help automate manual processes. Create Process and Solution Design Documentation for the business processes being automated Support the RPA team in the implementation of best practices for RPA development, technical design and development of process automations, monitoring and support of operational robots, to help automate manual processes. Apply RPA policies, agile procedures, and best practices to ensure streamlined delivery, quality controls exist, regulatory and compliance guidelines are adhered to in a consistent manner. Partner with Technology teams, Operational SMEs, Production Support through agile sprints and development to ensure RPA automations are built as needed to meet strategic objectives. Provide oversight to all technical RPA deliverables to ensure quality and alignment to technical standards. Create status and progress reports of RPA automation Identify and evaluate new automation technology and process improvement tools. Collect and document captured RPA benefits. Set up, test and monitor automated workflows to ensure that business processes function at optimum efficiency without risk of error Monitor and maintain automation post-implementation and resolve any issues Assist with demos, training, and rollout communications Create user, system, and governance documentation as required Collaborate with key stakeholders including users to ensure user needs are being met, concerns are being addressed, and adoption is progressing Contribute to automation roadmap development Provide RPA coaching support to citizen developers Maintain and/or obtain RPA/vendor/industry certifications Job Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field and Minimum five (5) years experience in software development or a related field. Minimum five (5) years of experience in software engineering, automation technology, technical consulting or equivalent experience. Minimum five (5) years' experience with the full Software Development Lifecycle. Minimum three (3) years' hands-on experience with technology and object-oriented programming languages like C#, . NET, Java, etc. Minimum three (3) years' experience in a fast-paced, agile & dynamic environment. Minimum two (2) years' experience in Agile delivery Minimum two (2) years of experience in product management, process improvement, technical consulting, Business Analysis or similar field Additional Requirements: Two (2) years of UI Path, Blue Prism or other RPA automation tools experience Licenses and Certifications: Preferred Qualifications (For each role - a defined number of the following preferred qualifications may apply: years of job experience, education or degree, license, certification, registration or designation, knowledge, skills and abilities). UiPath Certified RPA Associate (UiRPA) or UiPath Certified Advanced RPA Developer (UiARD) certifications Proven track record in software development with experience working on technically demanding projects preferred. Solid understanding of the full development lifecycle, developing detailed technical designs, and implementation preferred. Experience developing both attended and unattended robots Strong written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously preferred. Background in object-oriented programming preferred. Experience building and deploying with robotic process automation software, especially UI Path preferred. Proven track record of improving development and delivery methodology through innovative process and tools preferred. Significant experience working in complex projects that require a deep understanding of the application logic and dependencies preferred. Ability to articulate and clearly communicate complex problems and solutions in a simple and logical manner preferred. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and decisions preferred. Advanced degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics field or equivalent experience preferred. Knowledge or experience with process improvement preferred. Six Sigma certification and experience preferred.
