Navistar’s Digital Acceleration group has an exciting internship opportunity with our data science team. Your summer project will be to work on predictive models, translating big data into actionable solutions that limit the amount of time our customers’ vehicles need to spend at repair shops due to unplanned repairs. This proactive, data driven approach will enable our customers to get back on the road faster and our dealers to work more efficiently for an overall cost reduction. Sound exciting? Role and Responsibilities

• Responsibilities • Your summer project will be to work on predictive models, translating big data into actionable solutions that limit the amount of time our customers’ vehicles need to spend at repair shops due to unplanned repairs • Assist in the development and optimization of cutting-edge machine learning models for predictive repairs • Dive into feature engineering to enhance model performance • Collaborate on model selection, hyperparameter tuning, and continuous model refinement • Create clear and engaging data visualizations that bring insights to life • Craft visually compelling reports to effectively communicate findings to team members and stakeholders • Collaborate with fellow data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of models into the repair workflow • Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in machine learning and predictive maintenance
