Description
Piper Companies is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst II to join an established Insurance company. This position is 100% Remote. The Cyber Security Analyst II will be responsible for providing 2nd tier analysis and responses to security events within a Security Operations Center.
Responsibilities of the Cyber Security Analyst II:
Conducts daily incident detection and response operations, including server monitoring and scanning for intrusion.
Audits and reviews security and audit logs, reporting violations for corrective action.
Analyzes and escalates Information Security Event information, triaging incident details and supporting Business Managers.
Specializes in network and/or host analysis, malware analysis, log-centric analysis, and serves as a technical consultant for the IT department.
Qualifications of the Cyber Security Analyst II:
5-7 years of relevant experience in cyber security and a minimum of 1 year detecting/responding to cyber incidents.
5-7 years' experience with IDS analysis, host forensics, or network forensic tools.
Experience with Windows and/or Linux
Proficiency with SPLUNK and MS Office Suite
Familiarity with scripting/programming, malware analysis, APT, cyber-crime.
IT infrastructure background including networking, applications, system/application vulnerabilities, and operating systems.
Certified in HCISPP, SANS GIAC, CEH, or technology-specific certifications.
Bachelor's Degree
Compensation for the Cyber Security Analyst II:
Salary Range: $90,000-$130,000 **depending on experience**
