Job Details Job Title: Senior Data Architect Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect with over 15 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture, data modeling, and data management, with a proven track record of leading complex data projects. This role requires a visionary leader who can drive our data strategy forward, ensuring data solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Key Responsibilities: Data Strategy and Architecture: Develop and maintain the enterprise data architecture, ensuring it aligns with the overall business strategy. Define and implement data standards, governance, and best practices. Design and oversee the implementation of robust, scalable, and secure data architectures. Data Modeling and Design: Lead the creation of conceptual, logical, and physical data models. Ensure data models are optimized for performance, scalability, and flexibility. Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into data models. Data Integration and Management: Design and implement data integration solutions to consolidate data from multiple sources. Oversee the development and maintenance of data warehouses, data lakes, and other data storage solutions. Ensure data quality, consistency, and availability across the organization. Leadership and Collaboration: Lead and mentor a team of data architects and data engineers. Collaborate with IT and business leaders to define data strategies and solutions. Work closely with application architects, developers, and analysts to ensure data architecture supports business needs. Technology and Innovation: Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends in data architecture. Evaluate and recommend new data technologies and tools to enhance data capabilities. Drive innovation in data management practices and solutions. Compliance and Security: Ensure data architecture complies with regulatory requirements and security standards. Implement data privacy and protection measures to safeguard sensitive information. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate data-related risks. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master s degree preferred. 15+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and data management. Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise data architectures. Strong expertise in data warehousing, data lakes, ETL processes, and data integration. Proficiency in data modeling tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, or similar. Hands-on experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL), big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of data governance, data security, and compliance regulations. Preferred Skills: Experience with machine learning, AI, and advanced analytics. Certification in data architecture (e.g., TOGAF, DAMA) is a plus. Familiarity with agile development methodologies. Experience in a specific industry (e.g., finance, healthcare, retail) can be advantageous.
