As a Sourcing Engineer, you will be responsible for Developing, Establishing, Maintaining and Optimizing supply chain for our CPC-Pump-India business. In this role you also need to help in developing global supply chain and assists in procuring goods and services at the best possible terms for the company. The role also includes evaluation of e suppliers, negotiate contracts, and review the supplier product quality and obtaining best pricing. Roles & Responsibilities Tender support, negotiate, purchase, supplies, services (of Engineered/Standard catalogue - Mechanical bought out, C&I, items required as per Project Specifications and QA requirements; in time with on best Terms Work with Suppliers to submit and get approval on Project documentation in time to achieve OTIF of the Pumps . Preparation of Purchase Orders and supporting documentation Preliminary sourcing of materials and pricing for Sales to fulfill bid opportunities. Expedite Purchase Orders for effective OTIF from Suppliers Negotiating and agreeing contracts and monitoring their progress, keeping check on quality and service Investigate and determine what/how/why material came in incorrectly or damaged (for non-conformances) Assist other Teams and Departments as necessary to ensure smooth order execution. Ensuring that the existing and the future Suppliers follow the statutory regulations in terms of legal, labor etc when they are directed to perform certain operations in our factory related to packaging. Ensure the existing and the future Suppliers follow the confidentiality requirement binding them with confidentiality agreement. Good rapport & liasioning with Quality, Projects, Engg and packaging functions. Purchase all related capital equipment for production. Monitoring Supplier Invoice Process and Payments Good knowledge on Hazardous Area Classification. Should have good understanding of Type test certification, CCOE/PESO/ATEX / CE/PED etc. To succeed, you will need Knowledge & Interpersonal Skills Knowledge of engineered products manufacturing/ packaging and procurement. Knowledge of day-to-day sourcing is preferred. Especially, Mechanical bought out and C&I items for Pumps Proven skills in Negotiation, Material planning and processes, SCM Process and Practices, Logistics, Product and packaging knowledge, skills in API 610 pump types and allied products would be preferred. Good knowledge of SAP/PLM or any other ERP system. Knowledge of Global Sourcing and International Trade Educational requirements University degree in Engineering or equivalent in any discipline Can speak, read, and write in English Language Personality requirements Self-motivated, highly organized, capable of working independently. Result-oriented, strong but flexible personality, ability to create and maintain a good communication in all levels. People oriented.
