Job Title Deputy Project Lead
Qualifications - MBA or MMS (Finance); OR
- Post Graduation or Graduation in Accounts or Finance domain with 3+ years of experience;
OR
- Semi-qualified Chartered Accountants (IPCC/Intermediate cleared) with 3+ years of
experience; OR
- GDCA trained/certified with 3+ years of experience.
Qualification can be relaxed for candidates with 2+ years of prior experience in Co-operative/
Society accounting/compliance
Responsibilities:
● Manage operations of the assigned projects with a direct team size of 15-20 team members.
● Lead a team of Finance Leaders, Accountants, Tax Professionals, and Financial/Secretarial Compliance
Officers.
● Allocate resources and manage milestone deliveries & client collections.
● Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
● Recommend cost-optimization solutions.
Requirements and skills:
● In-depth understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation, and bookkeeping.
● Hands-on experience with financial planning/budgeting, project risk management, data analysis and
forecasting
● Proficiency in accounting software/ERPs.
● Modern Leadership qualities with a lead-by-example approach. Solid analytical and decision-making skills.
● Prior experience managing client finance operations, society accounting, society compliances, and/or operations modeling will be a plus.
Detailed Job Profile:
I. Billing & AR Management:
● Planning & Publishing regular Billing Dashboard
● Resolve client queries with the help of project teams.
● Responsible for providing timely confirmation on issuance of bills to clients.
● Intimation to the accountant for change in tariff due to surplus/deficit in quarterly/half yearly/annually
financials after approval of the officer bearers on the client side.
II. Booking & Accounts
● Review of Accounts
● Passing of Journal entries as and when required.
● Managing client relationships independently.
● Publishing regular Accounting Dashboards
III. Withholding Tax matters:
● Tracking of Monthly TDS for all Portfolios & publishing the Dashboard.
● Ensuring the filing of relevant returns within the due date.
● Validate the reconciliation of TDS return with Tally data.
● Any Notice/assessment from dept. needs to be handled/coordinated.
IV. Goods and Service Tax:
● Responsible for providing relevant inputs/workings to enable timely filing of relevant returns.
● Validate the reconciliation of GST returns with Neo/tally data (GSTR1, GSTR2b, GSTR3b)
● Any Notice/assessment from the GST department needs to be appropriately communicated to the seniors
of the organization with the right inputs and support to resolve those queries.
V. Income Tax
● Prepare and verify income computation.
● Plan and track Advance Tax Payments.
● Publish the Dashboard & ensure timely filing of Income-tax Returns.
● Provide relevant inputs for the computation of income-tax (COI) and pass appropriate entries in the books
to give effect to the COI inputs.
● Any Notice/Assessment from the Income-tax department needs to be appropriately communicated to the
seniors of the organization with the right inputs and support to resolve those queries.
VI. Financial MIS
● Closing Financial Statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow)
● Weekly publication of Dashboard listing open items for all the Portfolio Accountants.
● Share All MIS needs with clients within established timelines and observation reports.
● Budget & CAM working preparation.
● Budget vs. Actuals – providing a variance analysis.
VII. Other
● Virtually connect with Clients on urgent matters.
