Position Title: Packing Incharge Location: Nagercoil Qualification: ITI / Diploma Reports To: Production Manager Department: Production Job Type: Full-Time Key Responsibilities: Team Management: Supervise and lead the packing team, including training, scheduling, and performance management. Ensure adherence to safety and hygiene standards by all team members. Conduct regular team meetings to discuss performance, issues, and improvements. Packing Operations: Oversee the packing process to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Monitor the quality of packing materials and finished products. Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the packing department. Ensure proper labeling and documentation of packed products. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of packing materials and finished goods inventory. Coordinate with the procurement department to ensure the availability of packing materials. Conduct regular inventory audits to minimize discrepancies. Quality Control: Ensure that all packed products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions. Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure compliance with industry standards. Coordination and Communication: Coordinate with the production, quality assurance, and logistics departments to ensure smooth operations. Communicate any issues or delays in the packing process to relevant stakeholders. Prepare and submit regular reports on packing activities and performance metrics. Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in the packing process and implement necessary changes. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in packing technology. Lead initiatives to enhance packing efficiency and reduce waste. Working Conditions: This position requires working in a manufacturing environment, which may involve exposure to chemicals, machinery, and varying temperatures. The role may require standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects.
