About TAFE EPD : TAFE EPD is subsidiary of TAFE, manufacturing automotive interiors Parts (Instrument Panels / Center Console / Door Panels / Pillar Trims) & high precision tools. In December 2022, TAFE acquired FAURECIA's Indian Interior business of Group FORVIA - The French Global Automotive Supplier, effectively making TAFE EPD one of the Indias largest automotive interior part suppliers. Currently EPD manufacturers components and tools at its state-of-the-art facilities in : 1. Andhra Pradesh (Anantapur), 2. Maharashtra (Chakan), 3. Karnataka (Bengaluru) 4. Maraimalai Nagar (Chennai) We also have a dedicated RnD Center in Pune. Our main Customers are Hyundai, Kia, Tata Motors, Skoda, VW, FCA & ISUZU. Role & responsibilities As a Business Development / Sales Trainee within the Organization, your primary responsibility is to support the Business Development Manager in the development of sales for specific accounts or designated parts of accounts in a given region. Key responsibilities include: 1. Customer Development: Assist in developing strong relationships with customer contacts, including Purchasing, Engineering, and Programs departments. 2. Commercial: Aid in preparing and validating commercial offers to ensure timely responses to customer requests. 3. Product Knowledge: Gain a good understanding of automotive interior parts, with a focus on plastic knowledge. 4. Acquisitions: Participate in acquisition teams and contribute to understanding business plans and financial KPIs. Assist in the preparation, update, and improvement of commercial offers during negotiation processes. Attend customer meetings regularly and stay informed about the competition. Learn the detailed understanding of piece price, tooling, and D&D cost. 5. Program: Support the Sales Manager in overseeing specific programs from a sales perspective. Assist in the negotiation of Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) during programs. Support on-time tooling invoice submission and coordinate timely actions. Contribute to monitoring the profitability of assigned programs. 6. Serial Life: Support the Sales Manager in negotiating on-time and profitable customer ECRs. Gain a deep understanding and assist in the commercial management of local economics, including raw material prices and inflation. Provide support to Accounts Receivable Team in managing receivables within established limits and timelines. Learn the process of claims negotiation at the appropriate customer level. Ensure proper documentation of all prices and written communication to customers. This role offers a comprehensive learning experience in sales operations, customer relationship management, and commercial negotiations under the guidance of the BD Manager. As a BD/Sales Trainee, you will contribute to the success of the Organization by developing essential skills in sales development and customer engagement Preferred candidate profile Bachelors degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering. Fluent in English and if necessary, in the Customer language (Marathi and Hindi). Comfortable with financials. Good communication and presentation skills, and capacity of empathy.
