Job Summary: The Logistics Escort ensures the safe and timely transport of high-value or sensitive cargo. This role requires vigilance, adherence to security protocols, and effective communication with drivers and logistics personnel to ensure cargo integrity throughout the transportation process. Key Responsibilities: Cargo Supervision: Accompany high-value or sensitive shipments from the point of origin to the destination. Monitor cargo loading and unloading to ensure proper handling and security. Conduct inspections of the cargo and vehicle to ensure compliance with safety and security standards. Security and Safety: Implement and adhere to security protocols to protect cargo from theft, damage, or tampering. Report any suspicious activities or security breaches immediately to the relevant authorities. Communication: Maintain constant communication with drivers, logistics coordinators, and other relevant personnel. Provide regular updates on the status and location of the shipment. Address and resolve any issues that arise during transport promptly. Documentation: Ensure all necessary documentation, including permits and clearances, are in place and up to date. Keep detailed records of the cargo, including condition reports and incident logs. Assist in the completion of any required paperwork for customs or other regulatory bodies. Qualifications: Education: 10th pass, 12th, High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in logistics or security is a plus. Experience: Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or security roles is preferred. Skills: Strong attention to detail and observational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure. Basic knowledge of logistics operations and security procedures. Physical Requirements: Willingness to travel extensively. Working Conditions: Regular travel, sometimes under adverse weather conditions. Work may require irregular hours, including nights, weekends.
