The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP ABAP development and experience working with SAP HANA. The role involves designing, developing, and optimizing ABAP programs to leverage the capabilities of the HANA database, ensuring high performance and efficiency. Candidate should be open to learn new cutting age areas of SAP BTP CAP & RAP Models, Fiori, CDS and AMDP areas. Key Responsibilities ABAP Development: Design, develop, and maintain complex ABAP programs, including reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows. HANA Optimization: Optimize existing ABAP programs to take full advantage of SAP HANA capabilities, including the use of CDS views, AMDPs, and other HANA-specific features. Data Modeling: Develop and maintain data models in HANA, including calculation views, attribute views, and analytic views. Performance Tuning: Analyze and tune ABAP programs for performance improvements on the HANA database. Integration: Work on integrating SAP modules with other systems and applications. Testing and Debugging: Conduct unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of ABAP programs to ensure quality and functionality. Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for developed solutions. Collaboration: Collaborate with functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Support: Provide support for SAP systems, including incident resolution and continuous improvement efforts. Required Skills and Qualifications Technical Expertise: - Strong experience in SAP ABAP development. - Proficiency in HANA-specific ABAP programming, including CDS views and AMDPs. - Knowledge of SAP HANA data modeling and SQL scripting. - Experience with performance tuning and optimization in HANA. - Familiarity with SAP Fiori and SAP UI5 is a plus. - Open to learning SAP BTP RAP Model & driving BTP Projects - Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Teamwork: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. - Project Management: Experience in managing and delivering projects within scope, time, and budget constraints. Education and Experience Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in SAP ABAP development, with at least 1.5 years of experience working with SAP HANA. Preferred Certifications SAP Certifications: SAP ABAP certification and/or SAP HANA certification.
