Key Responsibilities:
The Instructional Designer helps create eLearning courses and course components as well as video and audio training assets. Key functions include developing basic courses by polishing design elements by using authoring tools.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops basic courses with standard in‐platform authoring tools.
Selects, suggests, and incorporates visual components for incorporation in courses
Incorporates basic user engagement strategies within a course to maximize retention
Performs basic course or video adjustments including linking files, adding video/audio to a page, archiving files, inserting closed captioning scripts, uploading SCORM files, applying templates, or transferring content to a page.
Edit video and audio using editing software’s (audition, Camtasia) and capture techniques.
Maintains appropriate project management documentation.
EXPERIENCE
Knowledge or experience in video production, audio editing, animation, or gamification
Basic familiarity with audio tools such as Adobe Audition and WellSaid Labs.
Basic familiarity with image editing software such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
Basic familiarity with screen capture and editing technology such as Camtasia and Adobe Premiere or Captivate.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
Ability to learn and develop basic video and audio editing skills
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks on time within a fast‐paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to use headphones for longer duration for audio/video editing.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Attend meetings and trainings and perform course development‐related tasks for long periods of time in a workstation.
Regular attendance and a regular work schedule are essential functions of this job.
