Job Description To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add Subject Matter Expert - GBS Logistics position will be based in Chennai. What a typical day looks like: Responsible for ensuring productivity, efficiency, and management of various logistics operations. These operations may include, but are not limited to, tracking product shipments, contract negotiations, preparation of budget and cost analysis statements, creation of more efficient logistical planning, and coordination of shipments. * Recommend improvements to existing or planned logistics processes. * Research for logistics data, using methods such as data mining, data modeling, or cost or benefit research. * Apply investigation methods or tools to comprehend, predict, or control logistics operations or processes. * Interpret data on logistics elements, such as availability, maintainability, reliability, supply chain management, strategic sourcing or distribution, supplier management, or transportation. * Prepare reports on logistics performance measures. * Write or revise standard operating procedures for logistics processes. * Confer with logistics management teams to define ways to optimize service levels, maintain supply-chain efficiency, or minimize cost. * Maintain databases of logistics data and information in accordance with corporate policies. * Provide ongoing researching in areas such as transportation costs, parts procurement, back orders, or delivery processes. * Develop or maintain models for logistics uses, such as cost estimating or demand forecasting. * Monitor industry standards, trends, or practices to identify developments in logistics planning or execution. * Track product flow from origin to final delivery. Monitor flor of vehicles or inventory using logistics systems. * Define packaging requirements. * Compute reporting metrics, such as on-time delivery rates and order fulfillment rates. * Manage systems to ensure that pricing structures adequately reflect logistics costing. * Contact carriers for rates or schedules. * Communicate with or monitor service providers, such as ocean carriers, air freight forwarders, global consolidators, customs brokers, or trucking companies. * Compare locations or environmental policies of carriers or suppliers to make transportation resolutions with lower environmental impact. * Develop or maintain freight rate databases for use by supply chain departments to define the most economical modes of transportation. * Reorganize shipping schedules to consolidate loads, maximize vehicle usage, or limit the movement of empty vehicles or containers. * Develop or maintain payment systems to ensure accuracy of vendor payments. * Route or reroute drivers in real time with remote route navigation software, satellite linkup systems, or global positioning systems (GPS) to improve operational efficiencies. * Enter carbon-output or environmental-impact data into spreadsheets or environmental management or auditing software programs. The experience we’re looking to add to our team: * Spanish language expert - Read, write and speak (Mandatory) * Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience. * Typically requires 5 to 8 years of experience in materials or related field. * A background in manufacturing is desired. Role and Responsibilities

• Manage and support various logistics operations including shipment tracking, contract handling, and logistics planning. Translate and interpret logistics documentation and communications from Spanish to English and vice versa. Coordinate with Spanish-speaking vendors, carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate communication. Analyze logistics performance metrics (e.g., on-time delivery rates, order fulfillment). Develop cost analysis and budget reports; suggest improvements to existing logistics processes. Research logistics data using data modeling, mining, and benefit-cost analysis techniques. Monitor and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations, including inventory flow, packaging requirements, and freight management. Maintain and update logistics databases in compliance with corporate policies. Support vendor payment systems and maintain freight rate databases. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and environmental impacts of logistics operations. Use tools such as GPS and route navigation systems for real-time tracking and routing optimization.
