Team Overview
The Legal Team at Invesco supports the organization worldwide by managing regulatory compliance, drafting and negotiating legal documents, supporting corporate governance, conducting legal research, and handling filings for investment products. This role partners closely with teams in Americas, EMEA, and APAC.
Role Overview
The Legal Analyst will assist in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing a wide range of legal documents while supporting regulatory filings, governance processes, and compliance activities. This role requires strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with global teams.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Management & Documentation
Draft, review, analyze, and negotiate various agreements including software licenses, SaaS/cloud contracts, vendor agreements, NDAs, and professional services agreements.
Upload agreements and amendments into online document repositories; ensure proper tagging and linking to master documents.
Respond to legal subpoenas, IRS summons, DOJ notices, restraining orders, and garnishment notices.
Regulatory Filings & Compliance
Assist in annual updates of Fund Disclosure Documents for Retail and ETF Funds across global regions.
File Post Effective Amendments for Registration Statements.
Support monthly and quarterly updates for Interval Fund Tender Offer filings.
Conduct compliance policy reviews to identify risks, inconsistencies, or gaps.
Corporate Governance & Legal Research
Create and maintain board books, agendas, resolutions, and board materials in online repositories.
Conduct research on historic fund trades, fund holdings, and prepare reports for class action/bankruptcy litigation filings (U.S. and global).
Support internal teams in disclosure of portfolio manager fund holdings.
Derivatives & Specialized Legal Work
Assist the derivatives legal team with ISDA Amendments, Account Control Agreements, FX Spot Letters, and information updates.
Cross-Functional Support
Provide legal assistance for internal teams including Investment, Operations, HR, and Compliance.
Collaborate daily with international colleagues across regions.
Required Skills & Experience
1–3 years of legal work experience, preferably with an investment advisor, asset manager, mutual fund group, or regulatory environment.
Understanding of technology contract standards preferred.
Knowledge of corporate governance, securities regulations, and back-office operations is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal abilities, and analytical skills.
High attention to detail and ability to work cross-functionally.
Willingness to work flexible hours and collaborate globally.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) is mandatory.
Work Schedule
Standard Timing: 12:30 PM to 09:30 PM IST (may vary as per business needs)
Hybrid Model: Minimum 3 days in office per week
