Job Summary
ti Steps is hiring a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to support the legal department in daily operations, documentation, compliance, and contract management.
This role is ideal for freshers or early-career legal professionals looking to gain hands-on experience in corporate legal processes, drafting, litigation support, and compliance activities.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
1. Legal Documentation & Drafting
Assist in drafting, reviewing, and formatting legal documents such as:
Agreements
NDAs
Vendor contracts
Letters and notices
Maintain proper documentation and version control of legal files.
2. Contract Support
Support the legal team in preparing commercial agreements.
Ensure contracts comply with legal standards and internal policies.
Track contract status, renewals, and deadlines.
3. Compliance & Regulatory Assistance
Monitor statutory requirements and help ensure company-wide compliance.
Assist in preparing internal policies and SOP documentation.
Support compliance reporting, filings, and audits.
4. Litigation & Dispute Coordination
Organize case files, evidence, and documentation for disputes.
Coordinate with external lawyers and legal firms when required.
Maintain updated litigation trackers and records.
5. Corporate Governance Support
Help prepare board documents such as resolutions, minutes, and statutory records.
Assist with ROC filings and corporate compliance tasks under supervision.
6. Research & Analysis
Conduct legal research on laws, regulations, and case updates.
Summarize findings and prepare briefs for senior legal staff.
7. Cross-functional Coordination
Work with HR, Finance, Procurement, and Operations teams to provide legal support.
Review internal policies to ensure legal alignment.
📚 Qualifications & Skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB).
LLM is an added advantage.
Experience
0–1 year of experience as Legal Assistant, Legal Intern, or similar role.
