Job Overview
The Legal Executive will handle corporate legal matters, contract management, compliance activities, and coordination with external legal counsels. The role involves supporting the organization in drafting, reviewing, and managing legal documentation while ensuring adherence to industry regulations, especially related to import, export, food safety, and property laws.
Key Responsibilities
Drafting & Documentation
Draft, review, and vet legal documents including agreements, contracts, NDAs, MOUs, lease deeds, JV agreements, investment documents, and partnership deeds.
Ensure documents are legally accurate, properly executed, and organized systematically.
Compliance & Regulatory
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, internal policies, and industry regulations.
Maintain statutory records and assist in regulatory filings.
Support compliance audits and inspections.
Handle compliance related to PBR (Plant Breeder Rights), FSSAI, Legal Metrology, and Food Packaging standards.
Litigation & Dispute Management
Coordinate with external counsels for ongoing litigation and legal matters.
Prepare case summaries, track litigation progress, and draft replies to notices.
Issue legal notices and manage responses to authorities or counterparties.
Contracts & Agreements
Assist in negotiation, execution, and management of agreements with suppliers, vendors, clients, and partners.
Work on property-related legal aspects including APMC, CIDCO, MIDC requirements.
Track contract renewals, obligations, and critical timelines.
Advisory & Internal Support
Provide legal opinions and guidance to business departments.
Identify potential legal risks and support in their mitigation.
Assist in due diligence for new projects, partnerships, and property evaluations.
Documentation & Record Management
Maintain organized digital and physical repositories of legal documents.
Ensure confidentiality and security of legal records.
Candidate Profile
Education
LL.B (mandatory)
LL.M preferred
Experience
1–3 years of experience in corporate legal, contract management, compliance, or regulatory affairs.
Key Skills
Strong legal drafting and communication skills
Knowledge of International Trade Terms
Understanding of Customs laws related to import/export
Familiarity with IGST, GST, and indirect taxation
Legal research and case law analysis
Corporate law, non-litigation, contract drafting, and documentation
