About the Role The HR Generalist will play a critical role in building a high-performance hiring engine and enabling the company’s rapid growth through exceptional recruitment, onboarding, and HR operations. This role requires a strong ability to identify top talent, create an effective candidate experience, enable non-HR managers to hire confidently, and maintain high hiring standards in a fast-paced startup environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, takes complete ownership, and has a proven record of building recruitment and HR processes from the ground up. Key Responsibilities Talent Acquisition & Recruitment Engine Build a proactive recruitment system that identifies exceptional talent before they enter the job market. Develop interview processes that accurately evaluate real skills, performance capability, and role fit. Drive the full-cycle hiring process including sourcing, screening, assessments, coordination, negotiation, and offer closing. Create strong candidate experiences that leave a positive impression, regardless of outcome. Manage ATS, hiring pipelines, documentation, and background checks with high accuracy. Hiring Strategy & Stakeholder Partnership Partner closely with team leads, especially first-time hiring managers, to guide them in identifying and evaluating talent. Educate managers on structured interviewing, performance prediction, and talent evaluation techniques. Maintain high hiring standards and ensure long-term hiring quality over short-term speed. HR Operations & Onboarding Execute onboarding processes including documentation, account setup, training coordination, and culture orientation. Support employee lifecycle activities and internal HR operations as required. Assist in maintaining HR documentation, compliance, and internal communication. Qualifications & Requirements 3+ years of experience in recruitment or HR roles, preferably in high-growth startups or internet-first companies. Proven experience hiring in environments scaling from 25 to 200+ employees. Strong ability to identify potential beyond traditional credentials or pedigree. Experience owning end-to-end hiring processes, building recruitment systems, and partnering with non-HR stakeholders. Strong execution skills with the ability to move fast without compromising hiring quality. Excellent communication, storytelling ability, and documentation skills. Comfort working in unstructured, fast-paced, high-accountability startup environments. Desired Skills & Experience Ability to convert complex information into simple, clear processes and documentation. Deep curiosity about AI, technology trends, and user research. Proven record of taking initiatives from concept to launch (0 to 1). Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving mindset. Bonus Points Prior experience working in early-stage or high-growth startups. Experience building or scaling teams and systems in rapidly evolving environments.
