Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated SAP MM Consultant (L1 Support) to provide first-level support for SAP Material Management issues and assist users with daily operational challenges. The candidate should have strong functional understanding of the P2P (Procure-to-Pay) process and be able to troubleshoot L1 issues efficiently while coordinating with the L0 team and end-users.
🛠 Key Responsibilities
L1 Support & Ticket Handling
Understand and resolve L1 support issues assigned by the L0 team.
Handle and close helpdesk tickets within defined SLAs.
Conduct preliminary analysis and escalate complex issues appropriately.
Documentation & SOPs
Prepare User Manuals, SOPs, and training documents for new functionalities or enhancements.
Ensure detailed documentation for recurring issues and solutions.
Functional Expertise — P2P Cycle
Support the end-to-end Purchase-to-Pay lifecycle, including:
Purchase requisition
Purchase order
Goods receipt
Invoice receipt & matching
Payment processing
Provide assistance for procurement and purchase master data activities.
Master Data & Inventory
Good understanding of:
Material Master & Vendor Master
Account assignment
Batch management
GST-related configurations
Inventory management processes
Technical Knowledge
Ability to execute SAP MM reports and analyze results.
Basic understanding of SAP MM tables for issue checking.
Stakeholder Coordination
Understand issue complexity and coordinate effectively with L0 support team.
Communicate with users to gather details, confirm resolutions, and ensure process compliance.
📚 Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (No gaps in education or career).
1–2 years of experience in SAP MM support (L1).
Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory, and invoice processes.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in support environments with defined SLAs.
💼 Preferred Skills
Exposure to GST scenarios in SAP MM.
Knowledge of key SAP MM tables & reports.
Basic understanding of system integration in P2P processes.
