Job Summary
Emerson is hiring a Human Resource Generalist Trainee under the National Apprentice Program for a period of two years.
The trainee will support day-to-day HR operations across the complete employee lifecycle, including recruitment support, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compliance, compensation support, and engagement initiatives.
This role serves as a key point of contact for employees and managers, ensuring HR processes are implemented effectively, consistently, and in alignment with company policies.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
1. Employee Lifecycle Management
Support end-to-end employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, confirmation, transfers, exits, and documentation.
Maintain accurate and timely employee records in HR systems.
Coordinate induction programs and early engagement initiatives for new joiners.
2. Employee Relations & Engagement
Act as the first point of contact for employee queries and concerns.
Support employee relations cases in line with company policies and labor laws.
Assist in grievance handling and POSH-related processes.
Plan and execute employee engagement activities, events, and internal communications.
3. Performance & Talent Management Support
Coordinate performance management processes including goal setting, mid-year, and annual reviews.
Support managers with Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) and development actions.
Assist in talent reviews and succession planning activities.
4. Recruitment & Onboarding Support
Support recruitment activities such as interview coordination, offer processing, and joining formalities.
Partner with hiring managers to ensure smooth onboarding and positive new-hire experience.
5. Compensation, Benefits & HR Operations
Support salary revisions, bonuses, incentives, and benefits administration.
Respond to employee queries related to compensation, benefits, and HR policies.
Ensure accuracy of payroll inputs and support HR audits.
6. Policy Implementation & Compliance
Ensure consistent implementation of HR policies, processes, and statutory requirements.
Support internal and external audits, compliance checks, and labor law documentation.
Assist in updating, communicating, and rolling out HR policies and guidelines.
7. HR Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Prepare HR dashboards, MIS reports, and basic HR analytics.
Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and employee experience.
Support HR projects, transformation initiatives, and change management efforts.
📚 Qualifications & Skills
Education
MBA / PGDM in any specialization (HR preferred).
Experience
0–3 years of experience in HR operations / HR generalist / HR internship roles.
